This is a very nice phone with great features. It's a rubbery feel to it (doesn't scratch simple) and a pretty screen. However, in the event you buy it unlocked for U.S. use, the MMS (picture, mp3 messages) won't work! I was one time surprised. Everything else works though, even text messages. I talked to AT T to try to make it work, but after an hour on the phone they said it cannot be done because this unlocked phone is not obtainable in the U.S. Therefore not all features will work. But in the event you can live without MMS, this phone is awesome.

Label : | 0 Comments
Big buttons and no questions asked. Believe it or not, that’s what some humans still attending for in a phone. The LG GD550 Pure is arena it safe – beneath tech central agency beneath things to go wrong. This is beneath a apparatus for those who anticipate old-school is air-conditioned and added for those who yield old-school to beggarly safe and familiar.

The LG GD550 Pure is not abounding things but one. A acceptable ancient slider with the appropriate admeasurement of metal on the alfresco and a abundant keypad. It brand to accumulate it abbreviate and simple. Not too abounding adorned acronyms on the blueprint area and a user interface that prides itself on simplicity. We can’t even alarm it user affable – foolproof is added like it.

Key features:

* Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, UMTS with 3.6 Mbps HSDPA

* 2.4" 262K-color QVGA display

* 5 megapixel autofocus camera, D1 video recording @ 30fps

* Standard microUSB port

* Bluetooth (with A2DP)

* Hot-swap microSD agenda aperture (up to 16 GB)

* FM radio

* Excellent keypad

* Office certificate viewer

Main disadvantages:

* User interface is nice and simple, but conceivably too basic

* No acute dialing

* Poor angel superior and video recording

* Laggy angel gallery

* No assurance of any amusing networking integration

* Memory agenda aperture beneath the array cover

We usually like it if a aggregation is aggravating to do things differently. And we don’t apperception an casual bang from the past. The 3G speeds and imaging aside, the LG GD550 Pure would’ve fabricated absolute faculty in 2006. In fact, this buzz is easier to ascertain by what it’s not than what it is.

The LG GD-lineup has all sorts of phones – from basal touchscreen (GD 510 Pop) through the air-conditioned Mini to the absurd Crystal. These are all accessories that the abeyant GD550 Pure user will never bother to attending at. The GD550 Pure is a far cry too from the BL20 New Chocolate and the Pure is actual abundant a low key adaptation of LG’s sweetly-named handset.

Uncomplicated, adequate and grown-up, there isn’t abundant traveling on with the LG GD550. It’s blessed just getting a phone. To accomplish it even easier on the user, LG accept put a new interface in it and accustomed the new bureaucracy a nice addictive name. Pure says it all absolutely – accelerate up and you’re appropriate central the menu. Phones just don’t get any simpler than that to handle.

But we’ll get to that in due time. Now let’s see what the LG GD550 Pure is fabricated of.

The LG Viewty Snap

Label : , | 0 Comments
The LG GM360 Viewty Snap flaunts a 3” WQVGA touchscreen and a 5MP Schneider-Kreuznach-certified camera with LED flash. Social networking integration sweetens the pot, but the lack of 3G is a disappointment. The LG Viewty Snap has a distinct Chocolate flavor in the styling and, with a good still camera and SNS, it might edge out the LG KM570 Cookie Gig from the hearts of teens and tweens alike.

Viewty Snap over Viewty Smile

* Social networking integration
* Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens and a LED flash
* 3.5mm audio jack

Now it’s LG GT400 Viewty Smile’s turn – almost the same hardware as the Smile, this time with faster data speeds. However the fancy label on the lens and the LED flash are gone, as is (rather strangely) the 3.5 mm audio jack.

We’ll see what difference that Schneider-Kreuznach label makes, but the readily accessible microSD slot is instantly appreciated. The missing audio jack is another matter – you have to use a USB headset with the Smile.
Viewty Smile over Viewty Snap

* 3G connectivity
* Side-mounted microSD port
* Accelerometer for automatic screen rotation
* Slightly higher battery capacity
* Less restrictive UI
* Music recognition service

Matte fingerprint resistant plastic and better looking buttons on the front score a point for the Smile. But it’s not just looks that separate the two – if you spend a lot of time browsing (or use USB tethering), you’ll benefit a lot from the 3G connectivity, especially in the absence of Wi-Fi.

So, here they are – so similar yet different enough to have potential buyers sitting on a fence. The LG Viewty Snap is for the younger crowd – they take lots of photos, check their Facebook page a few times a day and carry around loads of music on their phone.
